Apple | Melrose

‘Melrose’ produces large, firm apples with a rich, balanced sweet-tart flavour and a floral aroma when ripe. Excellent for both fresh eating and baking, this variety stores very well and develops even better flavour (pineapple tones)  after a few weeks off the tree. A dependable choice for gardeners wanting versatility and long storage. Melrose can be picked in late September, or left to hang till after a frost for a sweeter more complex flavour.
