This striking sedum features gorgeous burgundy foliage and contrasting fuschia-colored flower heads. I selected this sedum for my meadow as the bright-colored, star-shaped flowers and long blooming period are highly attractive to pollinators. Additionally the flat topped blooms contrast beautifully with the many spikes and globe shaped flowers already used in the meadow. As with most sedums, Jose Aubergine provides a long season of interest starting in very early spring with emerging buds and finishing in late winter with the dried seed heads. Jose Aubergine is less prone to flopping than the more common sedum variety, Autumn Joy. Hardy to zone 3.
