Sporobolus Heterolepsus ‘Tara‘ is an ornamental grass native to the Prairies. It has an extremely deep root system, assisting it with drought tolerance. Tara sports fine foliage and fine textured seed heads. Especially gorgeous in a meadow planting as dew forms on the leaves making a striking appearance in fall and late summer. This long-lived perennial is clump forming and does not spread by runners. Tara is the most upright version of the species. Hardy to USDA zone 4.
